September 3, 2011 with my long-time pal Duane Gilliland (middle) and the late great Edward Earl (left) on the summit of Mt. Spickard in Washington's North Cascades National Park. The three of us simultaneously completed the list of 100 most topographically prominent peaks in the lower 48 states, and we were the first to ever complete the list. July 27, 2013 with the late great Dennis Poulin on the summit of Elkhorn Peak in the Wallowa Mountains in northeastern Oregon. The two of us simultaneously completed the 100 most prominent peaks in the state, and we were the first to ever complete the list.
